Finish the basement on a slab and walls that tested dry, with the readings in writing before anything gets covered. Channahon is on our regular route.
A finished basement is only as good as the concrete behind it, so our first visit is about moisture, not paint colors. We take readings on the walls and slab, look for white mineral deposits and old water lines, and check the sump and its backup. Drainage or sump work gets done and proven before we frame. After that, our crew handles framing, insulation, wiring, any bath or wet bar rough-in, drywall, ceilings, floors, doors, trim and paint, with the permit and inspections in between.
Channahon is off I-55 and I-80 for us, and Route 6 brings us into town in Will County. The Des Plaines and DuPage rivers meet here, and anywhere near moving water, groundwater deserves a hard look before a basement is closed in. If your pump has never had a backup, a battery unit or a second pump is worth pricing before drywall makes the pit harder to reach. We also leave the pit accessible, because a pump buried behind a finished wall is a repair waiting to happen.

We test the slab and foundation walls and write the results into your estimate, so you see why each step is there.
We run the pump, check the discharge and price a battery backup or second pump if the pit has none.
Walls sit on pressure-treated bottom plates and stand a gap off the foundation for insulation and air.
We insulate the foundation walls and the band joist at the top to keep the rooms warm and pass inspection.
Circuits, recessed lights and any bath or wet bar lines are roughed in and inspected before drywall.
Drywall, the ceiling, flooring rated for a slab, doors, trim and paint complete the space.
You get a free visit and a written estimate that breaks the basement into phases, from moisture work through paint. If something turns up after we start, like a wall crack that needs sealing, you see a written price and approve it before we touch it. The schedule is built around the inspections, and we book around the days we said. At the end we walk the basement together, test the outlets and lights, and fix anything on your list.
