Real wood floors in your Roselle home, installed over a subfloor flat enough to keep the boards tight and quiet.
We install engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank and tile, laminate, and tile in baths, entries and laundry rooms. Engineered hardwood is real wood on a stable core, and it is pickier than vinyl about the floor beneath it, so we check the subfloor against the maker's spec and level, patch or sand where it misses. Depending on the product, the boards float, glue down or nail down, and we follow the method the maker calls for. Base, shoe and transitions are part of the work, and we move furniture out and back.
Roselle is a village we work in every week, and Lake Street, Roselle Road and Irving Park Road are how we get around it. It straddles DuPage and Cook counties, with a Metra station downtown and Bloomingdale, Itasca and Schaumburg around it. If you want wood in a living room or bedroom on the main floor, engineered boards are the stable choice over a crawl space or a basement where humidity swings. We read the moisture in the subfloor and in the boards before we install, so the floor goes down at the right condition instead of shrinking open in January.

We check the subfloor and the boards with a meter so both sit in the range the maker allows before installation.
High seams get sanded and low spots filled, since wood turns every dip into a squeak or a gap.
Float, glue or nail, we use the method the product calls for, not the one that saves us time.
We pull boards from several boxes so color and grain mix across the room and the end joints stagger.
Treads, risers and nosing can match the wood so the stair reads as part of the same floor.
Base, shoe and thresholds go back on, and transitions are sized to meet the next floor as close to flush as it allows.
We measure at a free on-site estimate and talk through which engineered product suits the rooms and the subfloor. The written scope covers the prep, the install method and the trim, and it states which rooms get what. If the old floor comes up and something needs fixing that we could not see, we show you and put the price in writing for you to approve first. We give you install dates and hold them, and we walk the floor with you once the shoe is on.
