A new wall in your Oakbrook Terrace home that looks like it came with the house, finished into the ceiling and the walls it meets. We keep the dust in one room while you live in the rest.
A new partition, a closed-off doorway or a home office carved out of a bigger room all end the same way: fresh board that has to be taped and finished until it matches the walls around it. We tape every joint, bead the outside corners and run three coats of compound, sanding each one. The part that takes the most care is where the new wall meets the existing ceiling and side walls, because those inside corners have to come out straight and stay crack-free. Most of these walls get a level 4 finish, ready for the same paint as the rest of the room.
Oakbrook Terrace is on our regular route, and we reach it on Route 83, Roosevelt Road, 22nd Street and I-88, the same as Oak Brook, Villa Park and the rest of DuPage County. Work like this usually happens in a home people are living in, so the room gets sealed off with plastic, the floor gets covered, and sanding runs with dust collection where it fits. If you live in a condo or townhome, the association may have rules about work hours or hallway protection. Share them with us and we follow them.

Flat seams and the new inside corners taped and bedded tight, with no bubbles left under the paper.
The line where the new wall meets the existing ceiling taped and finished straight across the room.
Outside corners and door openings beaded so the edges hold up to bumps.
Where new board butts an existing wall, the joint is feathered out until you cannot find it.
Plastic at the doorway, floors covered and sanding dust collected, so the rest of the home stays usable.
The finished wall left ready for the same color as the rest of the room.
A free visit on site gets you a written scope for the wall, the corners it ties into and the finish level. If opening up the room shows something we did not plan for, such as a cracked corner on the old wall, we price it in writing and you decide before we touch it. We schedule the coats around drying time and around your household, then book around the days we said. The last visit ends with a walkthrough of the room before paint.
Tell us what the new wall is for when you call or text (815) 585-1750, and we will schedule a free look at the room.
