Find out whether your Rolling Meadows shower needs new grout or a full rebuild, and get a bathroom that stays solid behind the tile.
Before we price a new bathroom, we look at why the old one is wearing out. Cracked grout can be regrouted, but tiles that move when you press them or a wall that feels soft usually mean water is already behind the tile, and that needs a rebuild. When it does, we take the shower down to the studs, put up new board and a continuous membrane, test it and tile it. The vanity, toilet, fan, lighting, drywall and paint are done by the same crew on the same estimate.
Rolling Meadows is on our regular route, up Route 53, with Golf Road, Kirchoff Road and Algonquin Road taking us across town. It is a Cook County city with Arlington Heights to the east and Palatine to the north. If your tub surround was tiled over plain drywall instead of cement board, the board behind the tile can turn soft around the faucet and the lower rows. We open it, show you, and replace it with backer and waterproofing that will not soak up water.

We press the tiles, check the grout and look at the wall around the valve, then tell you whether it needs regrouting or a rebuild.
Failed tile and board come out down to the framing so any damaged studs or plates can be replaced.
New backer and a continuous waterproofing membrane, so the wall behind the tile cannot soak up water again.
A new tub set on a solid base, or a shower pan sloped to the drain, tested with water before tile.
New vanity and top, sink and faucet, and a toilet set on a sound flange.
Fan ducted outside, GFCI outlets, drywall, trim and paint, with the room cleaned before we hand it back.
The visit is free, and we spend it checking the shower walls, the floor and the fan before we talk finishes. Your written estimate lists the tear-out, the rebuild, the fixtures and the finish work. If the damage behind the tile goes further than we could see, we show you, price the extra in writing and wait for your okay. We start when materials are in and close out with a walkthrough of the room.
If tiles move when you press them, have the shower looked at before the water does more damage. Call or text (815) 585-1750 and we will come check it.
